DUTIES:

The Financial Analyst will provide financial forecasting and reporting support for specific projects implemented by our IT organization. This is a key component of the project team and is expected to be the primary contact for project financials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  IT project management team is seeking a strong Financial Analyst to act as a primary finance partner supporting specific project teams by applying superior organization skills and attention to details as well as advanced knowledge and techniques to produce accurate reporting disseminated to a senior and international audience. This position will be responsible for monthly project performance reporting and forecasting and should play a critical role in project budgeting and progress evaluation. This position will also be expected to participate in Ad Hoc Projects and Analysis. The position will be a strategic business partner with internal stakeholders developing and ensuring sound integrated financial practices and process enhance financial performance and operational decision-making. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining an effective business partnership with all the participants in the projects, including international partners. The position reports direct line to the IT Project Manager with a strong dotted line relationship to Associate Director of G&A Finance. The successful candidate will also play a significant role in the direct support of IT, especially the Applications and Technology Platform (ATP) group. The candidate will be required to effectively communicate and exhibit strong financial and accounting skills as well as leverage financial tools and systems to provide for desired analytics. Key measures of success in the role include: timely and accurate reporting on projects costs, variances to budget and forecast, effective partnering with our internal customers, a demonstrated command of the underlying operational and financial content of the projects supported, proactive identification and resolution of the accounting and financial planning issues as well as accuracy and timeliness of financial results and plans. The successful candidate should exhibit attention to details and be proactive in explaining projects costs drivers and discrepancy in costs types.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: a minimum of 3 years experience in Finance and Accounting in similar positions requiring a demonstrated ability to use financial reporting tools. Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills targeted toward senior management are required. Attention to details. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast paced changing environment. Previous IT projects support is a plus. Other requirements: * Proactive solutions oriented capability and ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to focus on the highest value activity * Proven customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with diverse finance and non-finance groups * Strong orientation toward driving to results * Proficiency with standard desktop computer applications (MS suite) with a hands-on background with accounting systems and enterprise planning tools (SAP/SAP BW/TM1)

EDUCATION
Bachelor in Finance/Accounting/Business/Economics required.
